The book includes many shots that show the true face of Yuya Matsushita through her travels, such as her relaxed expression in a secluded hotel room, liberating moments with the shining ocean in the background, a meal at a drive-through hamburger store, a chance encounter with a dog, and the urban atmosphere at a casino bar.
Matsushita himself styled the entire book so that the photographer can be his "usual self" in front of the camera. She also came up with the title "Short Vacation," and her own creativity is scattered throughout the book. The book also includes a long interview of over 10,000 characters in which Matsushita talks about changes in her environment and her future outlook.
